About me and my therapy practice
Life can get tricky sometimes. It can be messy and complicated and there are times when we all need a little support. Whether it’s a one-off issue or something more complicated, we need a space to think about and consider what’s really going on. This can range from everyday life getting you down and feeling stuck, to long term, complex issues, negative emotions or thoughts, which can lead to feelings of depression and anxiety.
Counselling provides a space for you to reflect upon and explore what this means for you and to undertake that process in a safe, comfortable and confidential space without judgement or bias.
The experience you have with your counsellor will be unique as we seek to explore and reflect on your lived experience and how that presents itself in your day-to-day life.
Practice description
I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (Â鶹Դ´) and I hold a Level 7 Advanced Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling (Â鶹Դ´ Accredited). I adhere to the Â鶹Դ´ standards for Good Practice and the Â鶹Դ´ Code of Ethics. I am a Psychodynamic counsellor which means that together we will look at past experiences and relationships and how they reach into the present. Together we will reflect upon and explore these things to help make sense of issues affecting your daily life.
Admitting to ourselves that we need help is the first step and I aim to work empathetically to acknowledge the difficulty it can sometimes take to allow ourselves to be vulnerable and to help support you through the counselling experience.
I work from premises in Leighton Buzzard and Luton.
I currently have availability in Luton for in-person, on-line (video) or telephone counselling.
My first session
We will have an initial meeting which costs £65. This is to discuss what has brought you to counselling, your goals and to arrange how we will work together should you wish to proceed.
