About me and my therapy practice
I am an experienced adult psychodynamic psychotherapist working for many years in the NHS in complex needs departments, inpatient wards, and community clinics. I have treated people from diverse backgrounds and addressed a wide range of issues such as depression, anxiety, loss, trauma, identity, and relationship difficulties.
Psychodynamic psychotherapy is about relationships, with yourself and others, both inside and out. It is the most theoretically developed talking therapy, with a strong evidence base. It can help alleviate symptoms such as anxiety and depression as well as lead to deep and lasting change.
My approach is to foster an environment where we can work together to better understand the complexities of your mind and the patterns that might be hindering your development. Together we can broaden your emotional range and help build resilience creating greater freedom, expression, and authenticity in your life.
I work from my consulting room in Hackney, East London and I offer an open, reliable, safe, and confidential space. As well as my private practice, I am a psychotherapist and staff member at the award-winning Tavistock & Portman Trauma Unit, a specialist NHS psychotherapy clinic.
