About me and my therapy practice
I know how scary it can feel to reach out for support but I hope to make that process as easy and comfortable as possible. I believe that with the right counsellor we can begin to explore the experiences and feelings that can feel too big or daunting to address alone.
Sometimes life feels too much and I believe that through therapy, with you and your needs as the focus, we can develop a safe relationship to explore whatever it is that has brought you here.
I am here to help you in the way you need, working together in ways that benefit you and help you understand yourself on a deeper level. With that understanding and acceptance of ourselves I believe we can then make the changes we might be wishing for.
Practice description
I work pluralistically, with Person-Centred therapy as my foundation. Within my practice I use CBT and Psychodynamic interventions, taking the time to understand you and what works best for you.
My aim is to empower you in your life, provide space for you to be yourself and explore whatever it is you need. I whole heartedly believe that the therapeutic relationship is of paramount importance therefore I offer a safe, non-judgemental, confidential and accepting environment where you can feel seen and heard.
My experience within the charity sector, working with those affected by domestic and sexual violence, has highlighted how infrequently people really feel listened to and I believe that when we feel heard and understood we can begin to handle the difficulties of life.
My first session
I offer a free 15 minute phone call for you to hear my voice and ask any questions you might have, allowing you to decide if you think we will work well together.
