About me and my therapy practice
Life challenges can feel overwhelming, and it's not always easy to navigate them alone. It can leave you feeling drain, exhausted, frustrated, isolated or helpless, like there is no hope that life can be different. This has a deep impact on the ways we cope with everyday life challenges, work and family relationships, general health and well-being. I offer a safe, confidential, and supportive space to help you explore your thoughts, feelings, emotions, whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-confidence, family issues, trauma, stress, bereavement, self-harm, anger. I'm here to support you.
I also work from a trauma-informed perspective, which means I'm sensitive to the impact of past experiences, including childhood adversity, on your present well-being. I prioritise building a trusting and secure therapeutic relationship, ensuring you feel safe and supported throughout our sessions.
My counselling style is integrative, drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches to best suit your needs. This may include Person-Centred therapy, some Cognitive - Behavioural techniques to understand and manage negative thought patterns, Gestalt therapy, or Mindfulness practices to support emotional regulation and self-awareness.
Practice description
I understand that everyone's journey is unique, and I tailor my approach to meet your individual needs. My aim is to help you make sense of your experiences, develop effective coping strategies, and build resilience to move forward with confidence. Through compassionate and non-judgment support, I can help you work through difficult emotions, break negative patterns, and rediscover your strengths.
Counselling is a space where you can be heard, understood, and empowered to create a positive change. Whether you are facing a specific challenge or you need someone to talk to and express your inner voice. I provide warm and professional environment where you can explore your concerns at your own pace.
I believe working collaboratively, respecting your autonomy, and empowering you to take an active role in your healing journey. We will explore your challenges, identifying patterns, building coping strategies, and working towards the changes you want to see in your life.
Taking the first step can be daunting, but reaching out for support is a sign of strength. If you are ready to start your journey toward healing and self-discovery, I would be honoured to walk alongside you.
My first session
During your initial session, the focus is on crating a safe and comfortable space where you can begin to share your story at your own pace.
We will start discussing what brings you to counselling and the challenges you are currently facing. The first session is about getting to know each other and exploring how we can work together in a way that feels supportive for you.
If you have and questions or concerns before your first session, feel free to reach out.
