About me and my therapy practice
Do you sometimes feel anxious, depressed, with low self esteem hindering and holding you back? Or that you have little agency in your life. Does it feel as though you're constantly fighting fires?
I believe that these feelings are on us - they are neither in us or an immovable part of us and so can be lifted. It can feel as though these feelings form and govern us but, with support, we can recognise and manage them. The light of recognition can diminish them.
I believe in connection, as humans we are designed for it; both within ourselves and with the world around us. The therapeutic connection is one that I hold in the highest regard and respect. To be truly seen and heard, to have our story held can be life changing. At times we all need a hand on our shoulder, for someone to hold us.
I work in a humanistic way, which means that we are formed by our experiences. I believe that you have the answers to you, that your story holds who you are. Stories are the oldest form of communication and one that is natural to us.
I am a trained integrative counsellor which allows me to draw on various modalities and methods that I can tailor for you and how you would like to work. I have found great benefits with clients in integrating gestalt (how you are experiencing in the here and now) into their story with sand trays and other creative methods.
You will find me warm, non-judgmental and grounded; and an excellent listener.

My first session
