About me and my therapy practice
You may feel like you know what you want to be doing, but you just can鈥檛 move forward or bring yourself to 鈥渄o it鈥. This can often leave us feeling stuck or hopeless. Maybe you find it easy to be kind to others, but you struggle to offer yourself the same compassion.
I believe that when we accept ourselves just as we are, without shame or judgement, that is when we can truly change.
I provide a non-judgmental space for you to safely explore how you are. I will both support and challenge you through my warm, empathic approach, where I seek to help you build greater self-awareness and unlock the change you are seeking within yourself and your life. I will tailor my approach to meet you where you are, and together, we will explore your emotions and experiences with curiosity. I also work with mind-body awareness. The body stores much of our emotional experience, so understanding what is going on not just in your mind, but how it is connected to your body can also be incredibly transformative.
Practice description
I am committed to offering clients an inclusive practice and undertake ongoing reflection and learning to ensure that my practice is anti-oppressive. For disabled clients, I can offer a range of adjustments including but not limited to: shorter sessions, online work, stim toys, images of the room or building in advance, and appointment reminders.
My first session
I offer a free 20 minute chat on the phone or Zoom to give you the opportunity to ask me questions and get a sense of if you鈥檇 like to go ahead and book an assessment session which is charged at the standard fee of 拢70. This first session is a bit different to the rest of therapy, as this is when I鈥檒l seek to understand more about what brings you to therapy, what you are hoping to get out of it, alongside some of your background and history. This is also a chance for us to assess if I am the right therapist for you.
