About me and my therapy practice
I am an integrative counsellor and can draw from a range of therapeutic models. This means I can meet your child's needs or your needs as an adult client, while offering a calm, caring and safe environment where no one will be judged. With young children I work with play, offering a range of opportunities, with time and space, for your child to make sense of their world and share their emotions.
I'm passionate about children, young people and adults' mental health and wellbeing. I believe being able to access Counselling and Psychotherapy quickly, in a safe, compassionate environment is key to supporting people with emotional difficulties, anxiety, depression, stress, addiction or trauma. I believe we all struggle at times and that counselling can benefit everyone regardless of their age, gender, culture, religion, sexual orientation or beliefs. My goal is to help you achieve the long lasting emotional wellbeing you are looking for so that you can live the life you want.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (Â鶹Դ´) and as a Â鶹Դ´ member I am committed to working ethically, to high professional standards and commit to continuing my professional development.

Practice description
My counselling practice is in Elstead, Surrey where I have a dedicated, comfortable, discreet and safe counselling room.
My first session
As a first step I offer a free, introductory call or visit for you to share the issues you feel you need help and support with so that you can decide if I am the right therapist for you. You can also ask any questions you have about counselling, psychotherapy, the therapeutic process and how we will work together.
If you decide you want us to work together we can then establish how we want to work together, the goals you have for therapy and the contract for how we will work together.
If you don’t feel that I am the right therapist for you we will consider other options that might work better for you.
In our first 50 minute session where we will start with introducing ourselves in more detail, which will include me explaining how I work, my training and the ethical framework that I abide by.
After introductions I will invite you to share your personal experiences with me, this may include your current relationships, childhood, key past or present life events that are impacting on your wellbeing. You choose what to share and what you feel is relevant. I will actively listen as you tell your personal story and I I understand you may be nervous and will do my best to put you at ease.
