About me and my therapy practice

Life can feel overwhelming navigating the different seasons of our lives, and that’s okay. Being able to express how you're feeling can sometimes be a challenge. It can be helpful to have someone who is compassionate and who you can talk to in confidence, someone who will listen attentively and without judgement in a safe space to help you reframe how you see yourself and how you communicate and connect with others.

My approach to therapy is to put your mental well-being at the forefront of our work together. I work in an integrative way, showing empathy, and will uniquely tailor sessions to suit your needs so healing can begin. We can explore issues from your past or present that are affecting you and the relationships surrounding you. We can do this together so you regain your autonomy, and take control of your life on your terms.

I am an experienced and qualified integrative therapist, and at the core of my practice is working with you in a person-centred way. Being integrative, I am able to blend and combine different therapeutic styles of counselling, such as using CBT and psychodynamic therapies. I will collaborate with you using a range of theories, helping you to gain a deeper insight into what your triggers are and helping you manage your emotions to improve your communication and relationships.

My intention is to build a safe and supportive environment with you where you can speak freely about yourself. I can help you to reflect and understand how and why you feel the way you do, increasing your confidence, self-awareness, and emotional well-being, helping you to make positive changes, and ultimately, improving your relationship with yourself and others.

I also work with people and family members of the neurodivergent community, adapting and tailoring sessions for clients with dyslexia, ADHD, and autism.

Additionally, I am trained in working creatively with attachment styles, which has a direct impact on how we communicate and our relationships.

Practice description

Taking the first step in reaching out for help can feel a little daunting. I would like to help you in making a decision.

I am experienced in working with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, ADHD, autism, dyslexia, depression, stress management, trauma (childhood & adult), low self-esteem, relationship challenges, abuse (verbal, sexual, physical, emotional), low mood, loss, suicide, and bereavement.

Sessions can be scheduled weekly or bi-weekly or when required. Each session lasts for the duration of 50 minutes.

Face-to-face sessions are currently based in Buckhurst Hill, Gidea Park, and Harold Wood where you can talk freely in a warm, welcoming and confidential therapy room.

Online and telephone counselling sessions are conducted in a private and confidential space to ensure a high level of privacy.

Being able to use different therapy tools allows me to work more creatively with you. Sometimes this may involve working with attachment theory and connecting with your inner child. This approach can often help you unconsciously tap into and connect to your deeper emotions.

In exploring your emotions deeply, you will be able to better understand your triggers and how past unresolved conflicts can affect your daily life, enabling you to manage and improve your emotional well-being.

I can work with you long-term and short-term offering sessions, which can be face-to-face, online, or by telephone.
