About me and my therapy practice

Are you feeling overwhelmed and feel you have no one to talk to? Seeking out the services of a suitable therapist can be daunting. Perhaps you are currently undergoing a particularly stressful or distressing period in your life, struggling to cope with daily pressures at home or work, experiencing feelings of sadness or loss, relationship difficulties, or unforeseen changes in your personal circumstances. Maybe you are seeking help with a mental health issue such as anxiety or depression, aiming to find ways of better managing your condition and its impact on your everyday life. Whatever your reasons for seeking therapy, I’m here to offer the support you need.

As we all know, unfortunately, life has difficulties. The first counselling session I attended I remember vividly thinking how much I would love to do that job, but also knowing it would take years of studying to be a therapist and that it would not be easy.

After undertaking a teaching degree, coaching, mentoring and a life coaching diploma and various mental health courses my heart still went back to that counsellor and how much I wanted to help people alongside teaching floristry.

So here I am.

I once needed someone to listen to me and now I am here to listen to you and walk alongside you on your journey. I love the work that I do with clients, and looking forward to getting to know you!

Practice description

As a therapist, I provide a safe and non-judgmental space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and concerns. In our sessions, we will work together to identify and understand the challenges you are facing. I will listen attentively, ask thought-provoking questions, and offer guidance and support as we navigate through your unique experiences.

Together, we will explore your strengths and resources, and develop effective strategies to help you overcome obstacles and achieve your goals.

I have experience working with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, stress management, relationship difficulties, grief and loss, life transitions, and self-esteem issues.

I utilise an integrative approach, using a variety of approaches including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness-based techniques, and solution-focused therapy. This allows me to tailor our sessions to your specific needs and goals.

If you feel that I may be the right therapist for you, I encourage you to reach out and schedule an initial session.

I offer therapy in an environment that suits your needs. I have a private practice based in Sutton Coldfield, as well as being accessible to the rest of the UK online or by phone. I also provide therapy outdoors in one of the largest urban parks in the UK, with woodland, seven lakes, wetlands, and marshes enriched in plants and wildlife in the proximity of my practice, for those who find nature calming and healing. In all places, I offer a safe and confidential space where all of you are welcome.

My practice is regularly supervised and monitored according to the professional ethical standards I have been cleared by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) I am fully insured for professional liability, and I receive regular clinical supervision from a highly experienced and an industry-leading Clinical Supervisor.
