About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I’m Hasan, a Transactional Analysis (TA) therapist registered with the Â鶹ԭ´´, NCPS, and UKATA. I offer in-person counselling in Bexleyheath.

I specialise in working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals, and I’m particularly passionate about issues around identity, culture, race, and sexuality.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked for over a decade as a sign language interpreter, which gives me a deep understanding of Deaf culture and communication. I aim to offer a safe, supportive space where you can feel fully seen and understood—whether you're hearing, Deaf, or Hard of Hearing.

I support people navigating a range of challenges, including:

• Stress and anxiety

• Depression

• Low self-esteem

• LGBTQIA+ issues

• Discrimination

• Identity and cultural concerns

My approach is rooted in Transactional Analysis (TA), a practical and compassionate form of therapy that helps you understand yourself, improve relationships, and create lasting change.

Practice description

I run a friendly and inclusive practice in South East London and online.

The foundation of my training is in Transactional Analysis, but I draw on a range of theoretical models and techniques to tailor my approach to each individual. My focus is on addressing your unique challenges while supporting your holistic well-being.

Transactional Analysis (TA) is a psychological theory and method of therapy that explores interactions (transactions) between individuals to understand behaviour and communication. An element of this focuses on is the three ego states—Parent, Adult, and Child—to promote self-awareness and personal growth.

I have extensive experience working with the D/deaf community, both as a therapist and as an interpreter. I’m passionate about creating a safe, accessible space where language is never a barrier to connection or healing.

As a gay man from a Muslim cultural background, I also work extensively with people from LGBTQIA+ and culturally diverse communities. I find that shared experience and cultural understanding can allow for a deeper connection and greater trust from the outset.

My first session

Before our first session, I offer an optional, free 15-minute Zoom call so we can get to know each other and see if working together feels right. After that, you’ll receive an assessment form and a counselling agreement, which we’ll go through together during our first session.

Abuse, AIDS/HIV, Anxiety, Bereavement, Body/somatic therapy, Cultural issues, Depression, Disability, Identity issues, LGBTQ+ counselling, Loss, Men's issues, Neurodiversity, OCD, Personal development, Post-traumatic stress, Relationships, Self esteem, Sensory impairment, Sexual identity, Sexuality, Spirituality, Stress, Vegan allied, Women's issues, Work related issues
