About me and my therapy practice
Life doesn’t always unfold as we expect, and at times we all need somewhere to pause, reflect, and find our footing.
I offer a calm, supportive space where you can explore whatever’s going on, confidentially and without judgement. Whether something specific has brought you to therapy, you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed or out of balance, or you simply want to gain a deeper understanding of yourself.
As a qualified psychotherapist, I work with a wide range of issues. Some clients seek support following a life-changing event such as a breakup, career issues, retirement, loss, or simply the challenges we face in life and with our families.
Others may be struggling with low self-esteem or confidence, feeling disconnected, experiencing anxiety or depression, or carrying a sense that something just isn’t sitting right—or that life feels more difficult than it should.
I am experienced in working with trauma and the lasting impact it can have on how we feel, relate, and navigate the world, sometimes in ways we don’t fully understand. I also work with people living with Adult ADHD, particularly when it has only recently come into view. Whether it’s a long-held sense of being different or a new diagnosis that brings clarity, this work can offer steadiness and perspective.
Whatever brings you, it can be a chance for real change. Therapy isn’t only for times of crisis - it can offer you emotional support, help you reconnect with yourself and unlock your potential for growth, supporting you in leading a more fulfilling life.
My approach is collaborative and responsive. I draw from a range of psychological traditions and tailor the work to your pace and needs, supporting self-awareness, self-trust, and meaningful growth.
Practice description
Sessions typically involve exploring your current concerns and reflecting on your experiences and inner world in a supportive, non-judgemental, and personalised setting.
I’m here to walk beside you, not tell you where to go. My role isn’t to advise or fix, but to help you make sense of your experiences, thoughts and feelings, gain clarity, and navigate whatever life is bringing. When it feels right, I may gently challenge patterns or perspectives that seem to be holding you back, to support insights and change.
Therapy can help you feel more confident in yourself and your choices, improve relationships, and support you in moving towards a more fulfilling way of living. I offer both short-term and open-ended work, depending on what feels right for you.
My approach is collaborative, flexible, and trauma-informed. I tailor the work to your pace and needs, drawing from psychodynamic, humanistic, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and transpersonal approaches to support self-awareness, self-trust, and meaningful change.
I hold an enhanced DBS certificate, attend regular supervision in line with best practice, and follow the Â鶹Դ´ code of ethics. I also engage in ongoing professional development, including trauma- and IFS-informed training.
My first session
Starting therapy can feel daunting, and finding the right therapist is an important step.
To help with this, I offer a free 15-20 minute call to discuss what you’re looking for and whether we might be a good fit.
Sessions are typically held at the same time each week and last for 50 minutes.
If we decide to work together, the first session will be a little different from those that follow. It will be an initial consultation focused on understanding what has brought you to therapy. I’ll also ask about your background to help build a fuller picture of how best to support you.
