Availability

I currently work on Tuesdays in Kentish Town (daytime), and am due to open up more spaces in Chancery Lane on Thursdays (also daytime) in the coming months.

Please get in touch if you would like to know my current availability, as it changes often.

About me and my therapy practice

I am a qualified and registered Humanistic Psychotherapeutic Counsellor (MÂ鶹ԭ´´).

I work with adults (18+) of all backgrounds from rooms in Kentish Town, and will soon be opening up spaces in Chancery Lane (please enquire for details).

I offer a sliding scale of fees between £65 and £85 according to what clients can afford and feel comfortable paying. This scale allows me to support those who cannot afford to pay as much as others.

Therapy can help people in all sorts of different ways. You may be impacted by an event, a loss, the beginning or end of a relationship, hoping to understand yourself or your identity more clearly, you may be in acute distress, or you may just be curious about why something in life doesn’t feel quite right. These are just a few of the reasons that might lead someone to seek emotional support through talking therapy. If this rings true for you, then I’d love to hear from you.

There is a bit more information about me and my practice on my website www.charlottebevan.com - please drop me a line if you have any questions or you are interested in working together.

Practice description

I believe that you are the expert on yourself, you know yourself better than anyone else does, and it is my job to support, guide and – when it feels right – challenge you to understand yourself better.

The better we understand ourselves, the better equipped we are to engage with the challenges that life throws at us.

I see psychotherapy as much like going to the gym – keeping our emotions in good shape, allowing us to move through life with emotional strength, flexibility and resilience.

I am deeply committed to anti-oppressive practice in my psychotherapy work, and this is an ongoing part of my learning and life experience.

I am a graduate of Nova Reid’s intensive Becoming Anti Racist training course, and I have worked closely with d/Deaf, disabled, neurodivergent, and LGBTQIA+ communities.

I hope to offer allyship in all of these areas, and to create a safe, inclusive space in which we can navigate any differences that may arise in or impact our relationship, and a space in which all elements of our intersectional identities are welcome.

My first session

If you are interested in working together, I’m happy to have a brief chat by phone before you book your first session, where we can get a sense of each other and I can answer any questions you may have. You can then decide whether it feels like a good fit, and if you would like to start working together. There is no charge for this session.

If we decide to start working together, I will gather some information about you and your aims for therapy over the course of our first few sessions to ensure we have a shared understanding of what you want to work towards.

How long you stay in therapy is up to you, and varies for each client.
