About me and my therapy practice
I am an integrative therapist specialising in complex trauma such as historical abuse , domestic violence and PTSD. I also work with a variety of problems.
Working from an integrative perspective, means that I combine different theories and ways of working, within a warm, caring and accepting approach, very much tailored to your individual difficulties and circumstances.
I am also trained as an EMDR (trauma) therapist and may suggest using EMDR to address recent or past traumas, where these are causing or influencing difficulties in the present, including relational issues. EMDR is a strongly-evidenced and fully collaborative therapy that can work quickly to get to the root of present problems and symptoms. By linking together past memories and emotions, present events and future fears, we can bring about relief of symptoms and real and lasting change.
Please see https://www.getselfhelp.co.uk//docs/EMDR.pdf for a brief explanation of EMDR.
We may also, if needed, use cognitive behavioural (CBT) strategies and techniques to help you gain relief from troubling current symptoms such as anxiety, panic, anger and depression.
Practice description
Hello,
Thank you for taking time to view my profile. I appreciate that it can be difficult to choose a therapist and how important it is to take time to find the right person.
I am a counsellor and EMDR therapist, passionate and enthusiastic about helping people with emotional and mental health difficulties.
I work particularly with difficulties caused by Trauma past or recent, with bereavement and with other difficult losses and life events. I work with all types of abuse in childhood. Through the therapy we hope to understand and alleviate symptoms such as anxiety, stress, anger, guilt, shame or depression.
I aim to offer a safe, confidential and non-judgmental space, in which we can explore your difficulties together, to try to make sense of what may have happened, to understand confusion and disconnection. Often people tell me that they want to ‘put the pieces of the puzzle together’, or even to find the pieces. A good outcome might be that you feel more ‘together’, more grounded, more confident, and a sense that we have ‘joined the dots’.
I also work well with;-
Pain management
Eating Disorders
Addictions
Phobias
Self Sabotage
I am also a clinical Hypnotherapist and Mindfulness practitioner and can help you to move forward and reduce Anxiety, build your self -esteem and confidence.
My sessions are £50.00 adults -
Couples £65 per session
EMDR £70 per session
Hypnotherapy £60 per session
My first session
I offer an introductory session at a lower rate of £35. This session allows us to meet and decide whether you would like to continue with a course of counselling sessions.

About me and my therapy practice
With 14 years of clinical practice, I have gained valuable experience as an Integrative counsellor, which has naturally led me to develop and become a clinical supervisor. My journey in the field has been diverse, working with both adults and children in various settings, including charitable organizations and my private practice. Through this, I have had the privilege of supporting individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and nationalities who have faced significant mental health challenges.
Although my specialism as a therapist is Trauma, I have also addressed and managed a wide array of issues.

My Approach
Supervision Process
Supervision, to me, is an extension of the therapeutic process and most importantly, a safe space where you can share and reflect on your experiences and your clients, to enhance your practice. My approach is centered around us working together to maximize our supervisory relationship.
Models Utilized
I employ the Proctor model, which encompasses normative (managerial), formative (educational), and restorative (supporting and relating) aspects. Additionally, I utilize reflection through the 7-eyed model (Hawkins and Shohet), allowing us to explore what is brought into the sessions and within our supervisory relationship.
Focus Areas
Our focus areas include:
• The client - strategies and interventions
• Relationships
• Personal impact
• Internal processes
• Wider context - organizational, cultural, and ethical issues
Objectives
Our aims are to develop and enhance your practice while being mindful of your well-being as a therapist.
I can facilitate supervision for counsellors, psychotherapists, mental health workers, and other skilled support professionals. Together, we will work towards maximizing your potential and providing the best possible support for your clients.
I work with qualified Therapist and student Counsellors who are working to fulfill their placement hours.
I offer discount for students - We will discuss this during our first meeting. I can also support students with setting up their private practice.
I provide online or in person supervision at my office in Central Lincoln.
My rates are
£50 per hour
£65 per 1 1/2 hours
My first session
Our first supervision session will be a chance to meet and explore what the Counsellor or Psychotherapist would like to get out of our sessions.
It will be an introduction to find out how we both work and how we can maximise the supervision process.
