Law firm Clyde & Co announced its merger with Dallas law firm Tillman Batchelor LLP. Mark Tillman and Colin Batchelor have joined Clyde & Co’s Dallas office as partners and will be joined by their team of six people. The merger is the latest expansion of Clyde & Co’s North American and global insurance practice.
Tillman Batchelor LLP served the litigation needs of domestic and international insurance carriers and their insureds, along with numerous other business entities on a direct representation basis throughout the US. It specialized in the defense of first party/bad faith insurance litigation, as well as the provision of insurance coverage advice and consultation across various lines of insurance business.
Carolena Gordon, Clyde & Co’s Senior Partner, said “Texas is an important market for our US and global insurance clients seeking coverage and defense services, and we are pleased to strengthen our team and southwest presence to better serve them. As our clients’ needs become more complex, this merger further reinforces our position as the leader in insurance coverage litigation in the US and globally.”
Clyde & Co opened its first North American office in New York in 2006. Since then, the firm has grown to 19 offices with over 400 attorneys across the United States and Canada, including over 90 partners.
