This position is responsible for providing all aspects of financial management to the Global Head of Technology and the Technology leadership team. The successful candidate will work directly with Technology leadership as a trusted partner to shape strategies, optimize the investment portfolio, drive forecasting and analytics, foster proactive roadmap and pipeline planning, influence productivity and performance metrics, and connect strategy through execution to capture and create new value. Responsible for financial management and accounting controls for the Global Technology operating budget, and shared expenses across other business units.

We are seeking individuals with deep financial expertise and a proven track record to help drive large-scale technology continuous improvement efforts, including project management, core financial acumen, and supporting financial changes for global organizations. The candidate should have demonstrated expertise in building collaborative business relationships, implement data-driven financial solutions, drive financial insights to help Global Technology plan, prioritize investments, manage performance.

The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator with the ability to work seamlessly across the organization and remote locations. The candidate should be able to navigate ambiguity with ease, deliver operational excellence, continuous process improvement, and a strategic approach to problem-solving.

This role can be located in the United States or United Kingdom. Preference for candidates based in US Eastern or Central time zones.

The Role




  • Act as the senior finance partner to the Global Head of Technology and the Technology leadership team, providing financial and thought leadership to shape overall strategy and business direction through direct partnership with the leader and their teams.

  • Advise and build decision-oriented solutions and recommendations to assist the Technology leadership team in creating a framework to capture and measure continuous improvement program costs and savings opportunities.

  • Serve as a key participant in Technology Continuous Improvement Programs, partnering with the Global Head of Technology to drive the execution of initiatives to modernize and streamline processes and procedures to enable growth.

  • Manage key finance projects for Technology, including cost transfers to centrally manage global budgets, driving efficiencies and opportunities across the company; assist in determining the basis for allocation of technology expenses to business units. Maintain and support allocation systems, models, and costs; ensure the integrity of allocated Technology expenses.

  • Manage and develop Global Technology business case proposals in partnership with Technology leadership ensuring all financial impacts and investment decisions are understood, rigorously challenged, and supported by appropriate financial models and ROI analysis.

  • Lead long-range and annual planning processes to drive long-term growth and scalability through new business opportunities, strategic investments, and workforce/process optimization.

  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes. Monitor performance, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions including oversight for capital expenditures.

  • Prepare formal presentations with recommendations and summaries of financial results and forecasted results to Technology Leadership, including reporting of metrics and KPIs.

  • Partner with the Technology team and vendor partners to track project spend, aligning project details to POs, invoicing, and project forecasting.

  • Contribute to the design of the future state global operating model in Technology and be responsible for the implementation of the new operating model from a financial reporting standpoint.

  • Provide direct support to achieve project goals and implement automated solutions to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency. Recommend finance process improvement initiatives related to budgeting, forecasting, and financial processes, while also leaning into strategic innovative technologies like AI.

  • Collaborate with the WTW Finance organization to maintain a proper control environment and to limit business risk and exposures.

  • Promote continuous improvement, efficiency, and competence within the finance function to an industry benchmark level.



  • Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent in Finance, Accounting or Business required; Masters in Business Administration, CPA, CFA highly preferred
  • 10+ years of related experience and proven success across multiple finance disciplines, including technology finance support in the financial services industry, continuous improvement/value capture-modeling, and program management experience. Experience working in a matrixed, global organization, as well as large scale enterprise technology transformation programs.
    • Proven Transformation & Project management experience: significantly experienced in successfully implementing Transformation Projects in a Technology operations, Finance and/or services business setting
    • Clear thinking / problem solving: strong track record of driving cross-functional projects/ processes within Technology/Finance, involving process improvement
    • Financial and business acumen as evidenced by strong performance in current or prior Finance leadership roles
    • Experience with leading continuous improvement / benefit realization initiatives
    • Systems / data knowledge to be able to direct colleagues in the accumulation and synthesis of data into operational recommendations
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint), Oracle, Apptio, Agile IT methodology and Hyperion knowledge is a plus
    • Proven ability to collaborate, interface with and lead diverse teams and influence executive decision-making
    • Ability to interpret and analyze financial data
    • Ability to resolve exceptions and disputes as well as manage client expectations
    • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
    • Ability to lead global, virtual teams, drive change, develop skills of direct reports, and positively impact team morale
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships in a collaborative fashion with strong influencing skills

Compensation and Benefits



Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).

Compensation



The base salary being offered for this role is $150,000. USD -$170,000. USD. This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
